Volleyball mini season is an opportunity for elementary & middle school athletes to improve individual skills. Mini season is instructional, geared towards young athletes who are looking to develop fundamental knowledge of playing volleyball. During this 8 week session, athletes will learn to compete within a team setting. Mini club teams may play other local volleyball clubs or local tournaments so that they can experience tournament competition. The goal is to prepare players to compete at a higher level when club season arrives, as well as develop their skills to assist them in making their school teams. Teams are formed by age groups and skill level and will practice twice a week, except for Labor Day (Monday).
PLACEMENTS: All athletes will complete an online registration & Mini Club Form packet. This can be downloaded from the website below. Registration is $50. If the athlete cannot attend for any reason, please email info@GulfCoastJrs.com so that your athlete is considered for a team. We will do our best to place each participant on a team. If a player is not placed on a competitive team, we will offer a placement on the Academy team.
The Academy team will train twice per week. They may or may not compete in a tournament. Participation in tournaments is at the Director's discretion.
